Paula Healy obtained her MSc in Neuroscience from the University of Sussex in 2012. Her particular area of research was computer game addiction. Since then, Paula has concentrated her work on the effects of excessive screen exposure (smart phones, tablets and computers) on the developing brain, in terms of addiction, attention deficit, memory impairment and social and emotional issues.
Paula has given seminars and talks in schools, to parents concerned with their children’s preoccupation with screen life, as well as to businesses in the City of London with emphasis on screen management, well-being and productivity in the workplace.
Paula lives in Sussex with husband James and their two teenage sons, Niall and Lorcan.
